Getting your website to the top of Google, Keyword Golden Ratio

Keyword Golden Ratio or KGR is a rarely used term among Bloggers. This method is mostly used by Newbie Bloggers only. The reason behind this is that this method makes use of long tail Keywords while famous Bloggers usually target small Keywords to reach a wider audience.

Page Contents:

  1. What is Keyword Golden Ratio?
  2. Why do you need it?
  3. Find the most Profitable Keyphrase?
  4. Writing post on KGR Keyphrase.

SO, What is actually Keyword Golden Ratio?

Keyword Golden Ratio is a technique to find most underrated keywords on the web.

And, these underrated keywords can actually help you get indexed on first page of Google.

Why do you need it?

When you create a new blog, you have to increase your network by building links in order to get recognized by Google. You can either build links my the means of Guest Blogging, Promotions, Advertisements etc. or you can use few techniques like KGR to earn Google’s respect.

Some people believe that a new website or blog takes some time and readership to be able to rank on google, but to earn a good readership first your reader should be able to find you via Google search.
Many newbie bloggers get stuck in this infinite loop and struggle to rank on Google’s front page.

This is where KGR technique comes into play. KGR method will help to target those Keyphrases which are easy to rank for.

So, How to find these KGR Keyphrase?

To do that, First you need to think about any general keyword on which you want to write your next post.
Then you have to make Keyphrases based on that keyword.

For example: I wanted to write a post on Increase Google rankings. So I tried different combinations like:

  • How to improve Google search rank?
  • How to get ranked on google?
  • Get your website to the top of google.

and so on…

Once you’re done with a list of Keyphrases based on your targeted Keyword, it’s time to move to the next step.

Find the most profitable Keyphrase.

In this step we will filter out the most profitable keyphrase from the list.

First put those keyphrases in Google search bar to find their search volume. You can either use tools like SEMrush, Ubersuggest or you can use this free chrome extension to find volume of each keyphrase.

Now, After finding the search volume of all the keyphrases discard all the ones with search volume greater than 250. You only have to select the keyphrases who’s search volume is less than 250.

In my case the Search volume is 70. SO, this is a perfect Keyphrase.

Now, once you’re prepared with the list of all the keyphrases whose search volume is less than 250, put all those keyphrases in google search bar again, this time along with allintitle operator.
Example:
allintitle:yourkeyphrase

allintitle is a Google search operator which outputs all the search results in which the whole keyphrase is in meta tag.

Then again discard all the keyphrases whose allintitle search results is greater than it’s respective search volume.

In my case the allintitle results were 49.

keyword research

Basically, you have to make a list of all the keyhrases whose search volume is less than 250 and allintitle results are less than the Search volume.

Now, this is the list of all the keyphrases you have to consider.

The next step is to determine the KGR value of each Keyphrase, to filter out the most profitable one.

The formula for KGR is:

Put the no. of allintitle results and Search volume of each keyphrase in the above formula and calculate their KGR value.
Then pick one Keyphrase with the least KGR value from the list.

That will be your final/most profitable Keyphrase.

KGR = 49/70 = 0.7
In my case the KGR value is less than 1. So, its a decent Keyphrase.

Writing post on KGR Keyphrase.

Finally it’s time to write a compelling Post which can make you rank in Google’s top results.

Try to remember these points while writing a post:

  • Use Keyphrase once in the meta title and only twice in the content:
Targeting long-tail keywords is different than targeting general keywords. Use your keyphrase once in the meta title to make your content KGR compliant. And only twice in the body so that it doesn’t look weird.
  • Determining Search Intent:
Search intent also determine the overall ranking of your content. Search for your targeted Keyphrase on google and check what type of contents are on top results. Try to make your content similar to them (not copied).

After submitting the post, it usually takes few days to rank on top Google results sometimes few hours if your content is good enough.

And also make sure to submit your website to Google Search console, to make Google index your new website.

So, go on write your high ranking post and do tell me in the comments that How this method turned out for you.

For any queries feel free to ask.

Thanks..
See you in the Next Post.

I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding expertise so I wanted to get advice from someone with experience.
